Vegan New Balance shoes

This post serves as a record for those who, like me, are searching for high quality vegan athletic shoes. New Balance (NB) produces several such shoes (although they may still contain glues made with animal ingredients), although this company has also been linked to overseas sweatshops. This website lists those NB shoes which are made in the U.S., and therefore are least likely to be made in sweatshops. I have indicated U.S.-made shoes in bold.

This list comes from New Balance customer service.

Here's the latest list for men's non-leather shoes as of 11-11-08.

Thank you for contacting New Balance Consumer Support!

Per our phone conversation, below you will find a list of all our current running/trail/walking and cross training shoes for men that are made with synthetic materials. However, please note that we do use different types of glues depending on what is available. Some of our glues will contain animal products as many glues do. Although the shoe may be made of synthetic leather it does not mean it will be completely vegan.
